Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 750 g flour
  • 6 eggs
  • some salt
  • some water
  • 2 rolls (Wecken), soaked
  • 50 g leek
  • 250 g spinach
  • 50 g bacon
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 500 g veal sausage meat
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • marjoram
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Prepare the dough, then cut into 1 meter long and 20 cm wide pieces. Squeeze out the soaked rolls, mince them with steamed leeks and spinach. Sauté the bacon. Mix the onion with the minced meat, veal sausage meat, eggs, and mashed potatoes, and season to taste. Brush the dough strips with egg yolk, then add the filling and cut into diamond shapes. Cook in salted water for 15 minutes. Slice and toast. Serve with: Green salad with herb vinaigrette.
