Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 500 g minced beef
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
- 4 tbsp cornmeal
- 4 eggs
- salt and pepper
- 6 burger buns with sesame
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 6 slices of cheese
- ketchup
- Peanut butter
- 6 slices of bacon
- 6 onion rings, baked
- some oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Blend the ground beef, 4 tablespoons of peanut butter, the cornmeal, and the egg into a mash and season with salt and pepper. Add a little more cornmeal if necessary until the mash is firm enough to form the patties. Form the mash into 6 large, flat patties. Meanwhile, heat a little oil in a pan. Fry the patties thoroughly, initially on high heat. Then reduce the heat slightly and cook the patties until crispy. Cut open the burger buns. Spread a little ketchup on the bottom. Place a lettuce leaf on each and top with a slice of cheese. Place the patty on top and top with a cooked onion ring (I always bring these ready-made) and a slice of bacon. Spread the top of the burger bun with peanut butter and fold the burger shut. We always serve it with sweet potato wedges with sour cream dip. Enjoy!
