Meat: Meatloaf, Mediterranean Flavored

The perfect meat: meatloaf, mediterranean flavored recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

INGREDIENTS meat:

  • 600 g Mixed minced meat
  • 3 Discs Toast without crust
  • 2 Pc. Red + yellow peppers
  • 2 Pc. Shallots
  • 1 Teaspoon, dried: Oregano, basil, lovage, leaf parsley,
  • 1 tsp, st. Rosemary, ground
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (smoked)
  • 1 tsp Salt + pepper, colored
  • 1 Organic egg
  • 1 tsp Mustard medium hot
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter
  • 250 ml Meatsoup

PREPARATION Meatloaf:

  1. First soak the debarked slices of toast in about lukewarm milk. Put the meat in a bowl and add all the herbs and spices. Wash the peppers, cut in half, core and cut into small cubes. Add to the minced meat.
  2. Now squeeze out the bread slices well and add to the minced meat with mustard, egg and breadcrumbs. Season to taste with salt and freshly ground colored pepper. Shape the minced meat into an elongated loaf and roll it in breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat the butter lard in a pan. Sear the meatloaf on all sides. Deglaze with the meat stock. Reduce the heat to 1/3 and cook for 30 minutes with the lid closed.
  4. In the meantime, peel and cook the potatoes. Prepare the coleslaw.
  5. Take the meatloaf out of the pan and reduce the amount of roast (if you like). After standing for 5 minutes, cut the meatloaf into slices and serve with potatoes and salad.
