Meatballs in Leek and Cheese Sauce
The perfect meatballs in leek and cheese sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Mixed minced meat
- 1 Bun old
- 1 Egg
- 1 Onion
- 1 teaspoon Mustard
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 3 tablespoon Flour
- 300 ml Vegetable broth
- 300 ml Milk or cream
- 1 pole Leek
- 150 g Processed cheese
- Peel the onion, cut into cubes and sauté in a pan, allow to cool a little and add to the minced meat.
- Now add the soaked, squeezed bread roll, egg, mustard, salt and pepper and mix everything well, form approx. 14 small meatballs out of it.
- Heat some oil in the pan and fry the balls until golden, remove and keep warm.
- Now put the butter in the pan, add the flour and make a sweat.
- Pour in the stock and milk and stir everything well so that there are no lumps.
- Clean the leek, wash, cut into rings and add to the sauce with the cheese, season to taste again and then add the meatballs again and let them warm up.
- We ate the rice noodles with it, of course mashed potatoes also tastes good with it – Bon appetit; 🙂
