Meatballs in Leek and Cheese Sauce

The perfect meatballs in leek and cheese sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mixed minced meat
  • 1 Bun old
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 3 tablespoon Flour
  • 300 ml Vegetable broth
  • 300 ml Milk or cream
  • 1 pole Leek
  • 150 g Processed cheese
  1. Peel the onion, cut into cubes and sauté in a pan, allow to cool a little and add to the minced meat.
  2. Now add the soaked, squeezed bread roll, egg, mustard, salt and pepper and mix everything well, form approx. 14 small meatballs out of it.
  3. Heat some oil in the pan and fry the balls until golden, remove and keep warm.
  4. Now put the butter in the pan, add the flour and make a sweat.
  5. Pour in the stock and milk and stir everything well so that there are no lumps.
  6. Clean the leek, wash, cut into rings and add to the sauce with the cheese, season to taste again and then add the meatballs again and let them warm up.
  7. We ate the rice noodles with it, of course mashed potatoes also tastes good with it – Bon appetit; 🙂
