Meatballs in tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Herbs of your choice
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 dash of cream
  • broth
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs, herbs, and spices into a dough, then form into small balls. Add these to boiling broth. The meatballs will be ready after about 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, dice the onions and sauté them in heated oil. Add the can of tomatoes. Season to taste and mix everything well. Add the chopped garlic and sauté. Deglaze with a dash of cream and tomato paste and season well again. Let simmer a little longer. Arrange the meatballs and tomato sauce on plates and serve. Serve with pasta, potatoes, or rice.
