Meatballs Italian style

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 stale roll
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 20 g butter
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tbsp Parmesan, grated
  • ½ tsp basil and oregano, dried
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 125g mozzarella
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Soak the bread roll. Finely chop the parsley and onion and fry lightly in butter. Squeeze out the excess liquid from the bread roll. Place the bread roll, parsley, onion, minced meat, and egg in a bowl. Peel the garlic clove, press it through a garlic press, and add it to the mixture. Add the Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix everything thoroughly and form 6 equal-sized meatballs from the meat mixture. Heat oil in a pan, fry the meatballs on both sides, and then place them in an ovenproof dish. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, slice the tomatoes, and arrange the tomato slices on top of the meatballs. Slice the mozzarella and place them on top of the tomato slices. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes.
