Instructions
Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
enough for about 13 pieces
Combine all the other ingredients except the mozzarella and the frying oil in a bowl and mix well to form a smooth dough. Season to taste. Cut off dumpling-sized pieces – this will make 13 pieces – and form them into dumplings. Place two halves of the mini mozzarella in the middle of each piece. Twist the mozzarella into another dumpling so that the cheese is completely covered by the meat, otherwise it will leak out during frying. Flatten the pieces and fry in batches in hot oil on both sides until the meatballs are nicely browned. Place all the meatballs together on a baking sheet, slice the remaining mozzarella balls, and distribute them evenly over the meatballs. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until cooked through (about 20 minutes).
