Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 kg minced meat, mixed
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- 250 g quark
- Salt
- pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
- 1 pack of bacon
- 2 eggs
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
with quark
Rinse the Roman pot thoroughly and line it with half of the bacon. Dice the onions and mix them well with the ground beef, eggs, tomato paste, and quark. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Pour the ground beef mixture into the lined Roman pot and cover with the remaining bacon. Place in a cold oven and cook at 200-225°C for about 90 minutes. After about 80 minutes, remove the lid from the Roman pot. This goes well with mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes and any vegetables with “gravy,” such as kohlrabi, cauliflower, or similar. You can also thicken the resulting broth with cornstarch/water and serve it as a sauce. However, that’s too fatty for me personally, so I prefer the version with the vegetables in sauce.
