Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g yogurt
- 3 garlic cloves, grated with a little salt
- 3 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
- 1 bunch parsley, optional
- Lemon or lime zest, grated, to taste

Quickly made dip for grilled food, fondue or as a sauce for rice dishes – Sarimsakli Yogurt
Combine the garlic paste with the olive oil, add salt and cayenne pepper, and mix well with the yogurt. Finally, add the washed, torn parsley and lemon or lime zest, if desired. Note: If you add half a finely diced cucumber (or coarsely grated without the core) and a little fresh, finely torn mint to this dip, you have a refreshingly delicious Turkish Cacik or Persian Mast o-Khiar.
