Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 80 g tomato paste
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 400 ml beef broth or vegetable broth
  • 200 g cream
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 4 cl Metaxa
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

To prepare, finely chop the onions and garlic. Sauté the tomato paste in hot oil. Add the onions and sauté gently. Add the stock and simmer until reduced by 1/3. Stir in the cream and crème fraîche, season with spices, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the garlic and Metaxa and simmer for another 5 minutes.
