Mexican Salsa

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g jalapeño(s), from the jar
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed (tomato passata)
  • garlic powder
  • Salt
  • Coriander powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Dice the onion and fry in a little oil in a pan until translucent. Drain the jalapeños, dice them as well, and add them. Immediately add the tomato passata, season with salt, garlic, and cilantro, and let it simmer briefly. Using the amount of jalapeños specified above makes the salsa incredibly spicy. If you prefer a less spicy dish, you can of course reduce the amount or replace the jalapeños entirely with green bell peppers.
