tastes delicious with meatballs

Sauté the finely chopped onion in a little fat and add the trimmed Brussels sprouts, which have been pre-cooked either in plain water, salted water, or vegetable stock. Sauté the vegetables in the pan until they are nicely browned but not blackened, and add the quartered cherry tomatoes. Season to taste with the spices mentioned. If you’d like the vegetables with a sauce, add the water, vegetable stock, and half a cup of cream and let it reduce slightly, or thicken with cornstarch or flour.
