Microwave cheese bread

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) bread(s), either dark or light
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 100 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • a little butter
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder or nutmeg
  • n. B. herbs, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Spread the bread slices with a little butter (or omit it altogether, if you prefer). Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and, if desired, paprika or nutmeg. Combine the two cheeses and spread a thick layer on the bread. Microwave on medium heat (360 W) until the cheese is melted. Serve hot with fresh herbs (e.g., chives or cress), if desired. Serve with beer or wine.
