Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g margarine, soft
  • 100 g sugar
  • 125 g flour
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 4 egg whites
  • 100 g sugar
  • 80 g almond(s), sliced
  • 500 ml whipped cream
  • 125 ml water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 lemons (the juice)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Make the batter and spread it on two springform pans. Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff peaks, then spread half of each on the batter and sprinkle with 40g of sliced ​​almonds. Bake each layer for about 30 minutes at 200°C (slightly less with fan-assisted oven). For the filling: Bring the water, sugar, and lemon juice to a boil and thicken with the cornstarch, then let cool. Once cooled, fold in the whipped cream. Spread the filling on one layer and cover with the second layer.
