Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Frog eye soup
Put the milk and sugar in a saucepan, stir in the sago and heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Be careful not to let the milk burn. Cooking time: approx. 10 minutes. I always taste a ball every now and then to see if it is already soft. Then mix the vanilla pudding powder with a little milk, add it, and bring to a boil briefly. If it gets too thick, add a little more milk. Remove the pan from the heat. Whisk 1 egg yolk with a little milk or cream and stir into the soup. It shouldn’t be boiling at this point. The soup tastes good hot, lukewarm, or cold. The ideal soup (not just for children) when the weather is bad, you’re in a bad mood, or you’re sick and not really in the mood.
