Millet – Turmeric – Patties
The perfect millet – turmeric – patties recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Cooked millet
- 1 tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 size Chopped onion
- 1 medium sized Garlic clove chopped
- 1 tbsp Freshly peeled turmeric
- Or powder as a substitute
- 1 tbsp Millet flour
- 1 tbsp Coconut fat or coconut oil to fry
- If possible, cook the cooked millet the day before and let it soak well. I often pre-cook millet in larger quantities. Firstly, it is very healthy and very versatile.
- Put the millet in a bowl. Sauté the onions in the coconut oil, add the garlic and let cool a little, then add to the millet and mix well.
- Peel the turmeric thinly, grate it on a fine grater, add to the millet mixture and use the millet flour to make a mixture that can then be baked well, shape patties and bake them.
- Side dishes: I ate the patties with my apple red cabbage, just delicious, have fun imitating them
