Minced meat and carrots

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 3 onions or shallots
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 stock cube
  • 750 ml water
  • e.g. maple syrup
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel the carrots and cut into small, thin slices or small sticks. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic. Prepare the broth using a 500 ml stock cube with 750 ml water. Sauté the onions and garlic in a pan with olive oil until lightly translucent. Add the ground beef and fry until crumbly, stirring frequently. After frying, add the carrots and the prepared broth and simmer uncovered for about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring regularly. Finally, season to taste with maple syrup, pepper, and salt.
