  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 400 g minced beef
  • 1 ½ tbsp tomato paste or paprika paste
  • 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • Salt
  • Pepper, mixed or black, freshly ground
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 onions, red
  • 1 bunch arugula
  • 8 slices of sandwich toast
  • 200 g raclette cheese, sliced
  • 6 tbsp honey mustard sauce, or burger sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel and finely chop the garlic clove. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the ground beef until crumbly. Add the garlic and fry briefly. Stir in the tomato or paprika puree and tomato ketchup, and season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Rinse and slice the tomatoes. Peel the onions and slice into thin rings. Wash, sort, and spin dry the arugula. Toast the sandwich slices under the hot grill at around 240°C until golden brown. Spread the ground beef mixture on four slices each, top with the raclette cheese, place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and grill under the hot grill for about 4 to 6 minutes, until the raclette cheese has melted. Then remove from the oven and top with the tomato slices, onion rings, and arugula. Spread the remaining sandwich slices with the honey mustard or burger sauce, place on top, press down, and cut in half diagonally.
