Minced Meat and Sauerkraut Cake

The perfect minced meat and sauerkraut cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

dough

  • 140 g Lowfat quark
  • 5 tablespoon Milk
  • 4 tablespoon Oil
  • 200 g Whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoon Tartar baking powder

Covering

  • 400 g Mixed minced meat
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 Onion rings
  • 1 glass Sauerkraut
  • 200 g Ham cubes
  • 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds

molding

  • 200 g Sour cream
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 Parsely
  • Salt
  • Pepper

dough

  1. Mix the quark with the milk and the oil, season with a little salt.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder, add to the quark mixture and knead well.
  3. Grease the baking tin, dust it with flour, roll out the dough and prick several times with a fork.

Covering

  1. Fry the minced meat in a pan with hot oil until crumbly, season with salt and pepper, remove and set aside.
  2. Peel the onions, cut into rings and add to the pan with the sauerkraut, ham and caraway seeds, season with salt and pepper and cook for about 5 minutes, mix in the minced meat.

molding

  1. Whisk the sour cream with the eggs and the finely chopped parsley well with salt and pepper to taste.

Complete

  1. Spread the topping on the dough, pour the glaze over it and put it in the 200c. warm oven for approx. 30 minutes
  2. Now take out the cake, let it rest a little, cut into pieces, arrange on a plate and enjoy with a beer -; 🙂
