Minced Meat Casserole – Greek Style

The perfect minced meat casserole – greek style recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 2 Pc. Onion
  • 2 Pc. Clove of garlic
  • 500 g Ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Thyme
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Pepper
  • Sweet paprika
  • 5-Gewürze-Pulver
  • Salt
  • 500 ml Chunky tomatoes
  • 700 ml Vegetable broth
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 2 tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 250 g Risoni from Barilla or Kritharaki / Greek noodles
  • 200 g Crumbled feta
  1. Heat the rapeseed oil in a roasting pan. First fry the finely chopped onions with the chopped garlic, then add the minced meat and fry until crumbly. Add tomato paste and sauté briefly.
  2. Then add the spices to taste, pour in the chopped tomatoes and vegetable stock. Let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes. Next add the crème fraîche and milk and season with salt.
  3. Add risoni noodles (raw!), Stir everything well and crumble the crumbled feta over it. Place the roasting pan (without the lid!) On the inserted grid (2nd rail from the bottom) in the oven with a fan oven at 180 ° (preheated). The casserole is ready after 30 minutes.
  4. A fresh green salad goes well with it, as the casserole is very tasty.
