  • 40 g tomato paste
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • Salt and pepper, white

  • ½ tsp marjoram, shredded
  • ½ tsp thyme, shredded
  • 100 g double cream cheese
  • ½ tsp, levelled honey
  • 300 g gnocchi, fine from the refrigerated section
  • Margarine or oil for frying
  • Sauce thickener if required

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Dice the onion and garlic. Heat margarine or oil in a pan, add the onion, and fry until translucent. Then fry the ground beef until crumbly. Stir in the garlic cubes and season everything with a little salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix the tomato paste with the ground beef, along with the marjoram and thyme, and sauté briefly. Pour in the beef broth, stir in, and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, then add the cream cheese and honey. Season the meat sauce to taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Continue to simmer gently over low heat. Now prepare the gnocchi according to the package instructions, either in a saucepan or fry in a pan until golden brown. If desired, you can thicken the meat sauce slightly. Arrange the gnocchi on plates with the meat sauce and serve. The sauce is also delicious with mini dumplings.
