Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef or lamb
  • 500 g white cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 large onion(s), finely diced
  • 2 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot and sweet
  • Cinnamon
  • Cumin, ground
  • broth
  • 1 lemon(s), juice

Oriental-inspired delight for cold days

Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger. Gradually add the meat and brown until crumbly. Add the white cabbage strips and fry. Season with cinnamon, pepper, salt, both paprika, and cumin, and stir well. Pour in a little broth, stir thoroughly, and simmer covered until the white cabbage reaches the desired consistency. Stir frequently and add more broth if necessary. Season to taste with lemon juice and other spices. Serve with potatoes or flatbread.
