Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 500 g lean minced pork or beef
  • Spice(s) of your choice
  • 500 g mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes
  • 1 handful of low-fat cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • some milk, low-fat
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • possibly chili powder
  • possibly curry powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the cauliflower and broccoli in a steamer. I do this the day before. Season the ground beef to taste, brown it lightly in a pan, and set aside. Mix the mashed potatoes with a little milk, a tablespoon of butter, salt, and a pinch of nutmeg. Spread the ground beef on the bottom of a casserole dish (approx. 25-30 cm). Layer the cauliflower and broccoli alternately on top of the ground beef and season with a little pepper and salt (or chili, curry, etc., depending on your taste). Spread the mashed potatoes over the vegetables and sprinkle with the cheese. Preheat the fan-assisted oven to 200°C and bake the casserole for approx. 20-30 minutes, or until the cheese has reached the desired color.
