Minced meat with mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 ½ kg potatoes, floury
  • 1 ½ kg minced meat, mixed
  • 125 g butter
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 2 onions
  • 70 g mustard (approx. 1/3 tube of 200 g)
  • Milk
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

hearty and simple

Dice the onions and garlic, then fry in olive oil. Then add the minced meat and fry until crispy, turning a dark brown. Add the mustard and fry. Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water. Once they’re done, drain the water and add the butter. Mash the two together. Add milk until almost runny. Stir in the fried minced meat and season generously with salt. Finally, season to taste with pepper.
