Mini mozzarella in a minced suit

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 cup of mozzarella (minis)
  • 1 stale roll
  • Water for soaking
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • herbs, Italian
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • e.g. Tabasco
  • Margarine for frying
  • ¼ liter vegetable broth
  • 200 g cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Soak the bread roll in water, squeeze out excess water, and place it in a bowl. Add the ground beef and all the other ingredients except the mozzarella and knead. Flatten some of the ground beef in the palm of your hand, place a mini mozzarella in it, seal it all around, and form it into about 12 balls. Brown the balls all over in hot margarine, pour in the vegetable stock, and cook for about 15 minutes. Remove the balls from the pan and keep warm. Stir the cream into the stock, let it simmer slightly, and adjust the seasoning if desired. Add the balls to the sauce and let it stand for 3-5 minutes. We like to serve them with rice and salad. If you fry the balls in the pan without the stock or cream, you have a nice little party snack.
