Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 500 g minced beef, you can also use mixed
- 1 bunch of soup vegetables (peel carrots and celery and chop coarsely or finely as desired)
- 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped or squeezed
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), diced
- olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 can/n tomatoes (pelati), you can leave them whole or puree them with a hand blender, depending on your taste
- oregano
- salt and pepper
- marjoram
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the diced onion and garlic until translucent. Then add the minced meat and sear until crispy. Add the carrots, celery, and bay leaves. Pour in the pelati, season with salt, pepper, oregano, and marjoram, and simmer gently for about 1-2 hours over medium heat. This is the only way to achieve the desired, typical flavor.
