Mom's cheesecake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 300g sugar, or add more if you like!
  • 1 kg quark
  • 1 pkt. pudding powder, vanilla (for cooking)
  • 3 tbsp semolina
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

without dough

Separate the eggs, put the yolks in one bowl and the egg whites in the other – beat these until stiff peaks form. Add the butter (margarine is also an option), sugar, and vanilla sugar to the bowl with the egg yolks – beat until fluffy! Mix in the quark. Add the semolina, pudding powder, and baking powder, and continue stirring. Finally, mix in the egg whites (carefully). Grease the baking pan and dust well with semolina. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake in the oven at 160°C for about 60 minutes. Allow the cheesecake to cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar. Important! Test for doneness with a wooden skewer. This cake can also be delicious with raisins or peach halves. My family prefers it my mom’s way, and she doesn’t like raisins!
