Mom's fruit salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pineapple, ripe
  • 2 apples, juicy
  • 2 bulb(s)
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 papaya
  • 4 tbsp thick juice (mango thick juice)
  • 4 tbsp low-fat yogurt, 0.1% fat
  • 1 cup milk
  • e.g. vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

very fruity, from Brazil

Peel the pineapple, remove the hard core, and cut the flesh into pieces. Core, quarter, and slice the apples, as well as the pears. Peel the orange and, if desired, fillet it, then slice it. Wash and peel the papaya, and cut the flesh into pieces. Mix the dressing with mango syrup and yogurt and season with vanilla sugar. Place the fruit in a large bowl and gently toss with the dressing. Refrigerate the salad for 20-30 minutes. Just before serving, froth some milk, then transfer the fruit salad to serving bowls and drape 1-2 tablespoons of frothed milk on top. This salad is so delicious! My mother used to make it every day in Brazil, only without papayas, which we didn’t have, but instead with mangoes or persimmons.
