Mom's wine foam cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 ml wine, red or white or
  • Juice of your choice
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g sugar or
  • Sweetener, liquid
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • possibly cream for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

also delicious with orange juice or other juice

Combine all ingredients and heat on low heat, whisking continuously. Transfer to suitable bowls, let cool, and garnish with whipped cream if desired. The foam also works with juices, such as freshly squeezed orange juice. For a lower-calorie version, simply omit the sugar and add liquid sweetener after preparation. For a cake filling, I blended the wine foam—cold, of course—into buttercream, which gives the buttercream a distinctive wine flavor.
