  • 4 tbsp sugar

  • 6 tbsp flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder

  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Tablespoon – Recipe

Grease a fruit base dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl until creamy. Then add the milk and oil. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift it over the top. Carefully fold it in with a spoon. If any lumps form, mix briefly with a mixer on low speed. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown. We’ve been making this base this way for decades, and it’s a foolproof success and beautifully light and airy. Tip: I usually make it in a springform pan, as many people don’t like the edges of the base so much, and this prevents the icing from running down the sides.
