Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 2 mozzarella (buffalo mozzarella), 125 g each
- 16 slice(s) white bread, stale
- 4 eggs
- 4 tbsp milk
- some water for dipping
- Flour, for turning
- Oil for baking
- Salt
Instructions

Remove the crusts from the bread and cut each mozzarella into 4 slices. Place a slice of mozzarella on half of the slices and cover with another slice of bread. Whisk the eggs with the milk and season with salt. Briefly dip the bread into a shallow bowl of water, pressing the bread firmly over the cheese. Coat the sandwiches in flour and dip them in the egg mixture. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the mozzarella in carrozza until golden brown.
