Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 liter red wine
- 500 g cane sugar
- 2 organic oranges
- 2 organic lemons
- 10 cloves
- 1 dl star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- 125 ml rum
- 500 ml vodka

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 14 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 14 days 20 minutes
Bring the red wine to a boil with sugar, spices, vanilla pod, and the zest of the oranges and lemons, then simmer gently for about 5 minutes. Add the juice of the oranges and lemons. Let it steep for at least 2 hours. Then pour everything through a sieve, possibly through a coffee filter. Mix in the rum and vodka and bottle. The full flavor of the mulled wine liqueur will only develop after 1-2 weeks.
