Mulled Wine Liqueur
The perfect mulled wine liqueur recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 liter Mulled wine
- 400 g Sugar
- 300 ml Freshly squeezed orange juice
- 3 Pc. Cinnamon stick
- 9 Pc. Star anise
- 9 Pc. Cloves
- 1 Teaspoon (level) Pimento
- 1 Teaspoon (level) Ground cardamom
- 3 Pc. Vanilla pod
- 600 ml Rum
- 1 Pc. Tea filter
- Put mulled wine (can be red or white) with sugar, orange juice, allspice and cardamom in a large saucepan. Put the cinnamon stick, star anise and cloves in the tea filter and close it. Scrape out the vanilla pod and add everything to the wine.
- Heat and cook for 5 minutes, remove the spices and let cool. Then pour through a sieve and fill up with the rum, if you like it stronger, take more rum.
- Put in bottles and leave in a dark place for 7 days, but you can drink it earlier. Tastes great in sparkling wine – or warm with icing … or just cold. 2.7 liters come out.
