Mum’s Terraces
The perfect mum’s terraces recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 250 g Flour
- 1 pinch Salt
- 75 g Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 125 g Butter
- Jelly for sticking together e.g. currant jelly
- Icing sugar for dusting
- Terrace molds of your choice
- Knead a shortcrust pastry out of the flour, salt, sugar, the egg and the butter. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
- Roll out the dough thinly and cut out the same number of parts from the different sized shapes. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 200 ° C for about 9-10 minutes.
- After cooling, glue the size of the cookies together with the jelly so that “terraces” are created.
- Then dust with powdered sugar.
