Mum’s Terraces

The perfect mum’s terraces recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 125 g Butter
  • Jelly for sticking together e.g. currant jelly
  • Icing sugar for dusting
  • Terrace molds of your choice
  1. Knead a shortcrust pastry out of the flour, salt, sugar, the egg and the butter. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
  2. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out the same number of parts from the different sized shapes. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 200 ° C for about 9-10 minutes.
  3. After cooling, glue the size of the cookies together with the jelly so that “terraces” are created.
  4. Then dust with powdered sugar.
