Terraces
The perfect terraces recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
for the filling
- 100 gr Sugar
- 150 gr Butter
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 Egg
- Jam, jam according to your taste
- First stir the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy.
- Add the egg and mix with the butter and sugar mixture.
- Now add the flour and baking powder spoon by spoon and stir with the hand mixer.
- The mass should be crumbly.
- Pour the mixture on the work surface and knead into a firm dough.
- Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for about 60 minutes.
- Roll out the dough thinly and cut out into three different circle sizes. Make sure that you have the same amounts of all sizes.
- Place the dough cut out on a baking sheet (lined with baking paper) and bake for about 10-15 minutes on the middle rack of the oven (top / bottom heat). Keep an eye on the cookies so they don’t burn you 😉
- Take the cookies out of the stove and let them cool on a wire rack. It is best to separate the cookies directly according to the size.
- Lay down a lane with the big biscuits. Then give about half a teaspoon full of jam (I use strawberry and apricot, but everyone can make it to their taste). Then you press the medium-sized cookies.
- On this you give a “dollop” of jam again and then press the small cookies on it. The jam may / should run out a little.
- Then dust the whole thing properly with powdered sugar.
