Mushroom strips

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g chicken breast or strips
  • 1 can mushrooms, small heads, possibly fresh
  • 20 g lean ham, diced
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), red
  • ½ pack of herbs (8 herbs), frozen
  • 1 slice(s) processed cheese, light
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tsp vegetable broth, if desired
  • some oil

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Hunter’s pot like from the fair

Wash the chicken breasts or strips and pat dry. Cut the breasts into bite-sized pieces. Drain the mushrooms, or trim and quarter them. Peel, halve, and slice the onion. Season the meat generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat oil in a pan and brown the meat. Then add the onion, mushrooms, and ham and sauté. Once the meat is cooked through, add cream and white wine, herbs, and cheese. Let everything simmer for a while, then season with spices and, if desired, a little vegetable broth. Serve with rice, croquettes, potatoes, or freshly baked bread.
