Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 650 ml red wine, dry
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 50 ml lemon juice
  • 30 ml rum
  • 800 g brown sugar
  • 1 orange(s), untreated, peel
  • 15 carnations
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon, slightly crushed
  • 15 cinnamon blossoms
  • 2 pieces star anise
  • 1 sachet of Gelfix

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Place the spices in a tea strainer, heat the wine, let the spices and orange peel steep for 10 minutes, and then remove. Add the juices and rum. Mix the Gelfix with 2 tablespoons of sugar and add. Bring to a boil, then stir in the remaining sugar. Boil gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into jars and seal.
