Nachos with barbecue chicken, baked

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ bag(s) of nachos (cheese or chili)
  • ¾ cup barbecue sauce
  • some salt and pepper
  • some chili powder
  • 1 bag(s) of cheese, grated (Chester or Emmental)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 onions, red
  • 350 g chicken fillet(s) (inner fillets)
  • some oil
  • Crème fraîche or sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, cut the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces, fry in a little oil, and season with salt, pepper, and chili. Then add the barbecue sauce and simmer briefly. In the meantime, dice the tomatoes and slice the onions into half rings. Layer the nachos in an ovenproof dish as follows: nachos, chicken mixture, cheese, tomatoes, and onions, then repeat. Finally, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for about 10-12 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit). Then dollop some crème fraîche or sour cream on top and enjoy.
