Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 small carrot(s)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 100 g cream cheese, grainy
- ½ bunch chives
- salt and pepper
- 2 slice(s) bread(s) (wholemeal bread)

Peel and finely grate the carrots, then immediately toss with the lemon juice. Mix the cream cheese with the grated carrots and season with salt and pepper to taste. Finely slice the freshly washed and shaken-dry chives. Set a few stalks aside for garnishing, if desired. Stir the chives into the cream cheese mixture. Spread the spread on the slices of bread and cut them in half. Garnish with the chives. This also works with other vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchini, kohlrabi, or radishes.
