- 30 g flour
- Parsley, herbs
- nutmeg
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
simple and without rest time
Dice the onion and fry in plenty of oil. Meanwhile, place the dumpling bread in a large bowl, warm the milk, and pour it over the bread cubes. Mix the fried onion with the herbs and add to the bread cubes. Add 2 eggs and season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix the mixture well and add flour until sticky. Cut the plastic wrap into approximately 70 cm long pieces, place the mixture in the center, and form into a roll. Seal tightly and place in boiling water (if necessary, secure the edges with clothespins (CAUTION: Plastic melts!!!)) and cook for about 15 minutes. Remove from the water bath, cut into not-too-thin slices with a sharp knife, and serve. This recipe does not require any resting time.
