Glazed apples with vanilla sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 apples
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g sugar, white or brown
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 shot of schnapps (apple or apricot brandy), rum is also possible
  • 500 ml milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Christmassy – light fruit dessert

Peel the apples, remove the cores, and halve them. Place them in a baking dish. Caramelize the butter with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon and pour over the apples. Place the apples in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, brushing them with the schnapps halfway through cooking. Prepare a vanilla sauce according to the package instructions and serve the apples with it.
