Nasturtium seeds – caper substitute

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 jars of nasturtium seeds
  • 1 ½ jars of water
  • ½ jar vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Combine the seeds, water, vinegar, and salt in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and then simmer gently for 15 minutes. The seeds should still have a bite. While still warm, place them in a jar and let them steep for at least 4 weeks. Using them like capers almost tastes better.
