Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 figs, ripe
  • 3 nectarines, ripe
  • 500 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Halve the ripe figs and scoop out the flesh from the skin with a tablespoon. Strain the flesh through a sieve. Weigh the figs and add peeled, pitted, and finely diced nectarines to make 1 kg. Scrape out the vanilla pod and add it. Mix with the preserving sugar and boil gently for 4 minutes. If desired, purée with a hand blender. After testing for set, immediately pour into the prepared jars and seal. Let cool upside down.
