Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 4 beetroots, pre-cooked
  • 4 jars of fish (Bismarck herring, drained weight 250g)
  • 4 onions
  • 1 jar mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Dice the beetroot, dice the onions, and drain the herring well, then dice it. Place it in a bowl with the mayo and stir. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and a generous pinch of sugar. Let it sit overnight and adjust the seasoning if desired. Tip: Add 1 finely diced apple.
