Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 eggs
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 125 ml carbonated mineral water
  • 125 ml oil
  • 140 g nuts
  • 160 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp jam, of your choice, e.g. apricot or plum jam
  • 50 g chocolate flakes
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 point cream stiffener
  • 500 ml cream

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C. Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the oil and mineral water, followed by the nuts, stirring constantly. Mix the flour with the baking powder, pass through a sieve, and mix with a whisk. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites with a whisk. Spread the batter on a baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes. When the base has cooled, spread with your choice of jam. Whip the cream with the cream stabilizer and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over the cake. Sprinkle with chocolate flakes to finish. Chill.
