Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g puff pastry (refrigerated or frozen)
  • 100 g ground nuts of your choice (or mixed ones if you like)
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • e.g. milk
  • 2 egg yolks

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Nut puff pastry pastries

Preheat the oven to 230°C. Cut the puff pastry into squares (approx. 12 cm x 12 cm). Mix the nuts, sugar, honey, egg white, and cinnamon (the amount of honey and cinnamon can be adjusted to taste). Then add enough milk to achieve the desired consistency – that is, so that the mixture drops easily from a spoon, but is not runny. Brush the edges of the puff pastry squares with egg yolk and add 1 tablespoon of the nut mixture to each. Then bring the four corners of the squares together and press firmly. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the hot oven on the second rack from the bottom for approx. 15-20 minutes. Tip: Cover the cooled pastries with a glaze made from powdered sugar with lemon juice or water.
