an eye-catcher on the coffee table, for a 26 cm springform pan
For the dough, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt. Dice the cold butter and add it to the dry ingredients along with the ice-cold water. Knead everything well, wrap in cling film, and chill for at least one hour. For the filling, melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan and mix until the sugar is dissolved. Then stir in the nuts, cinnamon, and water. Brush a 26cm springform pan with butter. Roll out half of the dough thinly with a little flour and press into the pan. Spread the nut mixture on top and decorate with the remaining dough as desired. Brush the decorations with milk. Bake in an oven preheated to 175°C (fan oven) for about 45 minutes on the middle rack. Allow to cool completely before cutting.
