Nut Cake with Chocolate Chips

The perfect nut cake with chocolate chips recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Ground nuts
  • 100 whole Nuts
  • 125 g Flour
  • 125 g Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 4 Beaten egg whites
  • 4 Egg yolk
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 Prices Salt
  • 1 blackboard Chocolate
  1. Beat the soft butter, sugar, salt and egg yolks to a creamy mass. Mix flour with baking powder and gradually stir in briefly and vigorously. Fold in the ground and whole nuts (I make larger nuts a little smaller) and the coarsely chopped chocolate. Add milk. Finally fold in the egg whites carefully.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 50 – 70 minutes on the middle rack. Make chopsticks test!
  3. The batter is also suitable for muffins. Here the baking time is reduced to 20 minutes. Tip: For a nice nut crown, place the whole nuts on top of the muffins after 15 minutes of baking so they don’t slide down.
  4. I baked the cake for my husband for his birthday, who is crazy about nut cakes – he also came up with the idea with all the nuts. Personally, it tastes very good in this crunchy form and the children are enthusiastic too. If you don’t like that, you can of course replace the whole nuts with ground ones.
