Nut cookies with ground nuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 125 g sugar
  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 g nuts, ground, better a little more
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

simple – nutty – not so fatty and not so sweet

Make a dough from all the ingredients up to the vanilla sugar (simply combine everything and knead until well combined). Chill for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough and cut out shapes, brush with beaten egg yolk and optionally top with chopped nuts or other decorations (the egg yolk is important; I’ve baked the cookies without it, but they taste better with it). Bake on the middle rack at 190°C for about 15 minutes. When the cookies are golden brown, they’re done. These cookies have always received nothing but praise, even though I’ve never baked the original recipe like this, always using only 100g of sugar and a maximum of 100g of fat. 70g of nuts is better.
