- 200 g nuts, chopped
- 200 g nuts, ground
- 4 tbsp water

- 130 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 150 g chocolate coating for the corners
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
makes 20 pieces
Melt 200g butter in a saucepan, then whisk in 200g sugar and 2 sachets of vanilla sugar. Then add the nuts and water while stirring (be sure to stir constantly so nothing burns!). Set the mixture aside to cool. In the meantime, put the flour, baking powder, the remaining sugar, butter, and eggs in a bowl and knead (with your hands) into a dough. Place baking paper on a baking tray and spread the dough evenly over the tray (I press the dough down with my hands). You can sprinkle flour on your hands and the dough every now and then to prevent it from sticking too much. Spread a thin layer of jam over the dough (every jam has tasted good so far) and spread the mixture in the pan over it (best with a spatula). Bake at 150-170°C for 25-30 minutes. It’s best to cut the nut wedges while they’re still warm. Once they’ve cooled, dip each corner into the melted chocolate coating. If a whole tray is too much for you, feel free to use half! The nut corners will keep for quite a while in a sealed container.
